About us
A Sydney charter operator, not a broker.
Most quotes for group transport in Sydney come from a middleman who sells the job on to whoever has a bus free that morning. We are the operator. The coach in the quote is our coach, the driver is on our payroll, and the person who answers when you call is the person who scheduled it.

Who we are
We run the buses we quote
Sydney Buses & Coaches is a Sydney charter and coach operator. We own the vehicles, employ the drivers and schedule the work ourselves — from a seven-seat executive transfer through to a fifty-seven seat touring coach — so there is one operator, one diary, and one person accountable for your booking from the quote to the last drop-off.
That structure is the whole point. When a broker sells your job on, nobody can tell you which vehicle is coming until the morning, because they do not know either. We can tell you at the quote stage, because the vehicle is already blocked out in our diary against your date. If something goes wrong on the road, the replacement comes out of the same yard rather than out of a phone tree.
It also changes how we quote. We publish indicative hourly rates on the site instead of making you enquire to see a number, then confirm the real figure in writing with the vehicle named and the inclusions listed. Tolls, parking, driver accommodation on multi-day trips and public-holiday loading are itemised in advance rather than appearing on the invoice afterwards.
The groups we carry most are schools, corporate teams, wedding parties, sporting clubs and event organisers. They have one thing in common: somebody has put their name to the plan and needs the transport to simply work. That is the job we are actually in.
What you can check before you book
Why groups choose Sydney Buses & Coaches
Your written quote names the vehicle we have matched to your group and lists what the price covers, so you can compare it line for line. Tolls, parking and waiting time are confirmed with you before they are charged, not added afterwards.
- NSW accredited Licensed charter operator. Certificate of currency available before travel.
- Vetted drivers Drivers hold a current Working With Children Check, plus a Driver Authority issued by Transport for NSW.
- Backup policy If a vehicle fails we arrange a replacement and keep you posted.
Compliance
What you can check before you book
A school office, a workplace health and safety officer or a venue may ask for evidence before your group travels. Everything below can be supplied in writing on request — ask when you enquire and it comes with the quote rather than at the last minute.
NSW Transport accredited
We hold operator accreditation for passenger transport in New South Wales. The certificate is available on request for tender and procurement paperwork.
Driver checks
Drivers assigned to school and youth work hold a current NSW Working With Children Check as well as their Driver Authority, and we can supply the check numbers to your school office in advance.
Maintenance and inspections
Vehicles are serviced on schedule and presented for inspection as required for accredited passenger transport. Daily pre-departure checks are the driver's responsibility before the first pick-up of the day.
Fatigue management
Long days, late finishes and multi-day charters are planned around the rest breaks the law requires, and we build them into the run sheet at quoting time rather than discovering them on the road.
Accessible travel
Wheelchair-equipped vehicles with hoists are available. Tell us the number of wheelchair positions when you enquire so the right vehicle is assigned and loading time is allowed in the schedule.
How we work
The same four steps on every job
One minibus for an afternoon or four coaches for a conference — the process does not change, only the size of the run sheet.
