The point of hiring a bus for a night out is that the group stays together and nobody has to be the designated driver. We run the pickup as a set of nominated addresses rather than one, so the coach collects people on the way in and drops them home in an order that still makes sense at one in the morning. Concerts, race days, milestone birthdays and Christmas functions all share the same problem — thousands of people leaving one place at once — and a driver who knows exactly where to wait is what solves it. Tell us the venue and we will confirm the legal pickup point before the night, because the difference between the right kerb and the wrong one is about forty minutes.

Which vehicle suits the Hunter Valley run
The Hunter is one of the few runs where the destination, not the group, chooses the vehicle. Cellar-door driveways vary enormously: some have sealed coach parking and a turning circle, others are gravel tracks with low branches and nowhere for a fourteen-metre coach to turn around. For up to about twenty-four people an executive minibus goes almost anywhere in the valley and is the vehicle we recommend most often for this run. At twenty-five to twenty-seven a midi-coach is usually fine, but the venues need checking first. Beyond that, a full-size coach is comfortable on the motorway and restricted in the valley, so we plan the day around venues that can take one — or split the group across two smaller vehicles, which often works better than it sounds because it halves the queue at every tasting bench.

On event work, capacity is about how many runs you want to make rather than how many people you have. One fifty-three seat coach takes a full supporter group in a single movement, which is the simplest thing to manage in a crowd: one vehicle, one meeting point, one headcount. Two twenty-four-seat minibuses give you more flexibility on where you can stop and can run a loop between a club and the venue, which suits a group arriving in waves after work. For a corporate group being collected from an office and returned to the city, an executive minibus or a midi-coach is usually the comfortable answer. Luggage is rarely a factor at a stadium, so seats are the honest limit here — and if the group is likely to grow between booking and the night, tell us, because moving up a size later depends on what is still available for a date the whole city wants.

Can we drink on board?
Alcohol on a hired vehicle is at the operator's discretion and depends on the vehicle and the trip, so ask when you book rather than assuming either way. What is never negotiable is the driver's authority to stop the trip if behaviour becomes unsafe — that condition applies to every group.
Can the bus collect people from several addresses?
Yes, and it is normally the cheapest way to run a night out. Give us the addresses in advance so the route is planned rather than improvised — each extra stop adds time, and time is what you are paying for. The same applies in reverse for the drop-offs.
What about a venue where thousands leave at once?
That is exactly the trip a coach is good at. We confirm the designated coach pickup zone with the venue in advance and agree a meeting point with your group, so the driver holds there instead of circling. It is worth agreeing a realistic departure time as well, because the last twenty people are always the slowest.
