What the Canberra run actually looks like
Canberra is the longest of our regular runs: roughly 285 kilometres down the Hume Motorway and the Federal Highway, three to three and a half hours in good conditions, and a genuine touring leg rather than a transfer. Two kinds of group book it. The first is schools, because the national institutions — Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial, Questacon, the National Museum, the National Gallery and the Australian Institute of Sport — sit within a few minutes of each other and a coach that stays with the group is the only sensible way to move a year level between them. The second is clubs and associations travelling to a fixture, a championship or a conference. Both need the same things from us: a vehicle comfortable enough for three hours each way, a driver who is rested and legal, and paperwork that arrives before the trip rather than on the morning of it.

Step 1: Load at the gate

Somewhere around Sutton Forest, Marulan or Goulburn the coach stops. This is not optional padding — heavy-vehicle fatigue rules require driver rest, and a stop that is planned is far better than one improvised with forty students on board.

In Canberra the legs are short and the timetable is tight, because each venue holds you to a booked entry time. The coach stays with the group for the whole visit and moves it between sites on your schedule, not on a timetable.

For a class or a squad, an executive minibus or a midi-coach with a PA works well and parks easily at the institutions. For a full year level, a forty-eight or fifty-three seat coach carries everyone in one vehicle with one driver and one set of arrangements at every venue, which is far easier to supervise than two vehicles arriving three minutes apart. Beyond fifty-seven passengers we run a coordinated convoy with one run sheet and staggered loading. If the trip is multi-day or continues past Canberra, ask us about a touring coach with restroom options.
Pick-up and set-down
For school bookings, tell us the loading point, the departure and expected return times against bell times, the number of supervising staff, and anything your risk assessment needs from us — driver details, vehicle details and insurance confirmation are supplied with the quote rather than chased on the morning.
